Tyson Jay Brant

Tyson is an independent self-taught artist and expressionist specialising in pop culture, psychedelia, as well as music and animation. Working from his home in Mount Gambier, Tyson has a keen interest in philosophy, mythology and the human condition.

 

Tyson has been a semi-finalist in Australia’s premiere animation film festival Animate. He was also recognised in Australia’s largest independent music, art and media production Happy Mag for animation, music and art projects, as well as the series Forgotten Fables of the South-East.

In 2023, Tyson was awarded the Don Dunstan Award for his SALA Exhibition 'Forgotten Fables of the South-East', and overall winner of the South East Art Awards for his animation.
